The monthly subscription runs until you cancel it, at any time with effect from the end of the current billing month; the annual pass ends by itself after 12 months. The 7-day trial doesn’t renew, never turns into a subscription, and falls back to the permanent guest tier afterwards. You can export your account and sync data and delete your account at any time, free of charge, whether or not you subscribe.
Yes. Import an OPML file from your current app and everything comes over in one step, folders intact. It works the other way too: you can export your subscriptions, notes and ratings as OPML, JSON or a plain list at any time.

On Windows and Android you can also install Shows & Stories directly from the browser as an app (in Chrome and Edge via the browser menu → “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”) and it then opens like an app in its own window. Shows & Stories isn’t listed in any app store.
Not necessarily. You can use Shows & Stories permanently as a guest in your browser—with up to 10 shows, saved items, and progress on this device. You only need an account if you want to sync your library across multiple devices, subscribe to more than 10 shows, or use advanced features like collections and downloads. There is a free 7-day trial for this, with no payment details required. All you need to register is an email address and a password.
